Nash– Exercise Prescription

Nash was seen to aid rehabilitate him back to full condition. Shoes in front and barefoot behind –
Owner looking to remove all shoes. Low body condition score. Up to date with dentist and other
professionals. Some swelling left hind-limb pitting oedema (suggested Vet advice).
Gait assessment – Nash travelled on two tracks and moved straight. Slightly lateral landing on the
right forelimb and narrow moving in front and behind with some external rotation of the tarsal joints
on ground contact. Tracks up well with large over track.
Palpation - Reduced bilateral neck mobility C3 left and C4 right. Serratus ventralis showing tension
drawing shoulders towards to the body. All joints in forelimbs have good full range of movement.
Hindlimbs unneeded due to current swelling and soreness. Spinal range of motion reduced in dorsiflexion. Increased tension in gluteal muscles. Main aim to improve global musculature and to bring
Nash into a correctly balanced posture.
