Noble– Exercise Prescription and Notes

Subjective: Weight is good and overall balance is good, recent farrier visit. Owner reports
some lack of bend and fluidity with reluctance moving forwards, this is evident from a few
months of video footage as a long term issue he was purchased with. Aim to improve
strength over the next 6 weeks and reassess in 12 weeks
Gait: Straight overall. Right forelimb is placed medially (to the centre) and wears the outer
wall of the foot. Close moving in front, should widen when matures a little. Overtracks left
hind but undertracks right. Struggles downgill in trot with paddling forelimbs.
Main palpation findings Hypotrophic thoracic epaxials and reactive trigger points and
spasming into lumbar region, Muscle tone is weak globally on the right side. Weak and
mobile right stifle. Left carpus has audible click medial side.
Range of motion: Flexion good each way is good. Neck bend right is stilted in the mid
cervical region. Head held highwhen bending right. Spinal range of motion good, a little
limited in mid lumbar. Pelvic tilts good no issues.
Exercises below, aim for 3x a week 40 minute sessions if schooling, include some canter
work. Heat pad and massage pad will be useful.
