Dog: JD (French Bulldog)
Subjective
JD was seen for his session following IVDD surgery. He is recovering well and is bright, alert
and well. He is ambulatory. The surgical site has some puckering on the left side but the
wound is clean and dry with no redness or weeping.
Objective
Knuckling test: immediate paw replacement bilaterally
Withdrawl test: Strong bilateral response and awareness
Deep Pain: Not required
Lost muscle mass and tone over the spine and hindlimbs, this is expected and normal
following periods of rest. Overload of the forelimbs and extended carpal joints to
compensate for ataxia.
