Subjective: Dasha was seen for her initial consult today. She has a
history of an intermittent lameness that is exacerbated during vigorous
exercise or when exerted. Some stiffness seen when rising following
sleep.
Objective: Posture and weight are very good, some offloading of the
right forelimb seen in stance, and when rising. Sit posture is neat,
fatigue set in following 5-10 reps of exercises.
Palpation: Symmetrical muscle tone globally, right lumbar was reactive
with spasming and trigger points, left sild only mild. Right forelimb
showed some mild carpal restriction and elbow crepitus. Left was
unremarkable, hindlimbs were unremarkable but protraction of the left
hindlimb was reduced. Increased hamstring use and tone.
Overview: Monitor walking schedule to find the optimum walking time and
exercise type. Use heat packs in the mornings over the right elbow and
lower back.
