Charlie – 11.11.25
Charlie was seen for physiotherapy following a yard move. He has PSSM and this is managed well.
His weight has crept up slightly so work on bringing this down again to alleviate the joints.
Gait assessment –Charlie travels straight in his back, he has a wide movement with his hindlimbs
and can underutilise his stifles. No locking or catching was seen, he covers ground and clears it well.
No stumbling or tow dragging seen.
Palpation – Neck is soft and previous shoulder injury resolved, right trapexzius was reactive and over
used, this suggest his right forelimb is excessively lifting or being overused, his back was good and
had improved range of motion today. The left quadricep and TFL were restricted and tight pulling
this limb forwards, the right gluteal had a tight band around the superficial gluteal which flexes and
so will prevent mobility of the right hindlimb.
