Belle – Exercise Prescription and Notes

Subjective: Belle was seen following a yard move, she has been in work
and enjoys hacking. Overall no issues reported. Posture was good, pelvis
is held in extension (improved from last visit) and narrow posture with
hindlimbs which is more observed when walking.
Gait: Mostly straight moving all limbs. Right forelimb toe in (v mild).
Tuber coxae drop is even, a little stilted in the protraction of the
left forelimb. Under-tracks slightly left hind.
Circling, neck bend looks good, better to the left. foot placement is
good, foot flight is good, timing is outside usual 4 beat rhythm. Base
narrow and elevated head and neck.
Main palpation findings: Increased tension left shoulder triceps muscle
and right side of the neck. Hypotrophic thoracic epaxials and reactive
trigger points and spasming into lumbar region - mild. Limbs were clean
and cool.
Range of motion: Neck braced and restricted, Forelimb protraction is
restricted bilaterally and tentitive, more so left side. Spinal range of
motion attempted, good wither lift, restricted in mid-back, pelvic range
attempted and will flex and extend.
