Ronnie- Physiotherapy Notes – 18/12/25
Ronnie was seen for his initial appointment. He is active and bright in
demeanour. Diet and supplements were discussed and recommended to
weight Ronnies food ration to aid weight loss. No access to stairs or jumping
up if possible to limit hip extension and risk of falling/losing back foot
contact.
Gait: Ronnie has a wide hindlimb base stance and movement in walk. There is
lumbar kyphosis and cranial loading pattern. No neurological deficits were
observed. Offloading the right hindlimb in stance. Initially lack of forelimb
protraction.
Palpation: Overdevelopment of the omotransversarius in the neck and
brachiocephalicus down to forelimbs. Overuse of the pectorals and latissimus
dorsi especially on the right forelimb which limits protraction. The back was
hypertonic with trigger points on the left side more so than the right. The right
hindlimb had hypotrophy of the biceps femoris muscle. Semitendinosus
restricted bilaterally.
Aim: Improve weight distribution, improve muscle mass on the right
hindlimb and improve spinal posture.
