Re: Elli– Physiotherapy Notes - 9/12/25
Subjective
Elli was seen 9/12/25 for a check up appointment. She was seen to be lame in her lesson
and was booked in for a check.
Static & Dynamic Observations:
•
•
•
Static conformation is good, a little high on BCS so could benefit from reduced hay
intake if on restricted workload.
Good limb posture – offloading LH slightly during rest
Lameness observed in the walk 2/10 and trot 3/10 on the LH with overloading of the
RH fetlock and associated pelvic hike. This resolved to 1.10 following treatment but
Elli still remained stilted on the turns.
Palpation Findings:
•
•
•
•
Base of the neck restricted and reactive with trigger points in brachiocephalicus
Left pectoral showed scarring and damage
Left hindlimb showed restrictive and tender TFL muscle on the lateral aspect
Bilateral hamstring ~(semitendinosus) scarring and adhesions
Overall:
Aim to keep moving to prevent further adhesions to the LH. The hindlimbs are restricted
and the back is restricted. Some of this is being worked on within lessons are not related to
the injury presented.
