Kevin- Physiotherapy Notes – 28/10/25
He is active and bright in demeanour. His weight is good. No pain relief
currently taken. Good active walk routine currently. Seemed to have hit a
plateau and changes are needed to prompt a response.
Gait: Kevin has a good rhythmical gait with good foot placement – his ground
clearance is improving in the hindlimbs, the left hindlimb circumducts and is
restricted in flexion. Cranial loading patterns displayed. Some medial rotation
of the left forelimb digits and claws.
Posture: Cranially loading. Roached spinal posture. Sit posture is very good.
When paw lifting, some trunk rotation, mainly stable.
Palpation: Spinal epaxials tender over scapula boarder and thoraco-lumbar.
Bilateral forelimbs reluctant to protract. No obvious issues with joint
restrictions. Improved spinal stabiliser muscles.
Neurological tests: Paw replacement – 1 second each hindlimb, cranial nerves
all ok
Aim: Improve overall balance, proprioception and improve back posture
