Bramble- Physiotherapy Notes – 20/10/25
Bramble was seen for an initial consult. Her veterinary history contains
subluxation of the left hip and some osteophytes. Alopecia of the hindlimbs
and history of intermittent left hindlimb lameness with some shifting to the
right. She is active and functional in stand, sit, stand and lie.
Gait: Bramble has a good rhythmical gait with good foot placement and ground
clearance. Hindlimbs slightly reduced in protraction and retraction. Left
hindlimb is placed laterally in walk and sitting.
Posture: Cranially loading (placing more weight on the forelimbs) and more
onto the left forelimb too. Tendency to kick back limbs when nearing hip
extension.
Palpation: Good muscle tone globally, increased tone shoulders and latissimus
dorsi reactivity, back reactivity thoracic region. Pelvic limbs low in biceps
femoris mass, good hamstring and quad tone.
Aim: Improve overall balance and symmetry
