Bally – Exercise Prescription and Notes
25/9/25
Subjective: Bally has improved since her use of medication for ulcers. She has been doing
some polework and regular lessons and is looking to do some events soon.
Gait: Tracks up with both hindlimbs with even weight distribution and fetlock drop, a little
increased in the hindlimbs. Stronger on the right forelimb and still some stiffness in her right
hindlimb – seen only in transitions on the lunge in trot and canter. Good balance on the
turns.
Main palpation findings: Neck is now looking more suspended with development of
splenius and rhomboid.. Improved thoracic sling reactivity, some mild trifggering in the right
serratus ventralis muscle. Mild epaxials hypotonicity but better posture. Hugely improved
hip flexors and lumbar spasming, again right hand side is worse and reactive. Hip holds and
compressions work we..
Range of motion: Pelvic range of motion has improved. Pelvic rounding is good and
extension good. – Does not like thoracic lift. Thoracic region restricted but hindlimb
retraction is very good bilaterally.
