Busby- Physiotherapy Notes – 26/8/25
Busby was seen for his follow up appointment. He is alert and ambulatory.
Some ataxia remains.
Gait: Busby has a good rhythmical gait with good foot placement – his ground
clearance is limited in the hindlimbs and especially the left hindlimb. Internal
foot placement external rotation of the tarsus is present mainly on the right
hindlimb.
Posture: Cranially loading and more onto the right hindlimb too. Able to stand
unassisted and walk around the room well and unaided. Sit posture is good.
Palpation: Spinal epaxials tender lumbar region showing trigger points,
resolved with manual therapy and Laser. Caudal boarder latissimus dorsi
reactive, but resolved –improved from initial visit. Knuckling test shows delay
over 3 seconds bilaterally. Restrictions present bilateral triceps and forelimb
protraction – more so left forelimb.
Aim: Improve overall balance, muscle strength and protect the opposing
limbs.
