Bally – Exercise Prescription and Notes
31/7/25
Subjective: Bally has been recently stung by a wasp and so ridden work has been on hold for
a week. Recently starting lessons and instructor has noticed Bally needs more impulsion and
to go straighter. We also note that her left hindlimb is weaker and she tends to move
quarters left.
Gait: Tracks up with both hindlimbs with even weight distribution. Stronger on the right
forelimb mildly and lacking some stride length with the hindlimbs in retraction.
Main palpation findings: Neck mildly braced but development is now looking more
suspended with development of splenius and rhomboid. Mild restrictions around latissimus
dorsi since starting ridden work indicating she has a tendancy to pull oppose to sit and push
from behind. Left epaxials in the lumbar region are reactive esp to hip holds. Hindlimb
retraction is limited but still improving.
Range of motion: Pelvic range of motion resented but is better than previous sessions.
Pelvic rounding is good Thoracic region restricted mildly.
