Harley
21/07/25
Harley has moved yard and has settled well, recent diagnosis and treatment for laminitis,
consequently some rotation was shown in the RF. Shoes are due.
Subjective: Weight management is good, very small fat deposits over shoulders and on the crest.
Recently had laminitis, medicated and is in remission. Foot balance is good, due for shoes. Started
being ridden, will require some re-education for balance and support.
Gait: Right pelvic hip drop (mild), Close movement with the hindlimbs behind and could show more
fluidity through the back when moving. Turning is stilted on occasion and prominent heel first
landing RF and lateral landing LF. Stilted RH but very mild.
Palpation – Lumbar restrictions bilaterally – more notably left side. Limb range of motion is good in
the forelimbs, protraction limited but extended well into DDFT stretch, a little restricted at present
in both hind-limb retraction. Pectorals are tense and shoulders are restricting thoracic lift. Pelvic tilts
are good and fluid.
