Wilson- Physiotherapy Notes – 12/5/25
Wilson was seen for his follow-up today. He remains active and bright and of
a good weight. His confinement is now expanded to include the whole room,
walking has increased with no issues to 7 minutes per walk.
Gait: Wilson has a good rhythmical gait with good foot placement and ground
clearance in all four limbs. The hindlimbs look to have become more even.
Right hindlimb is offloaded and more weight through left side. Slight carpal
deviation in both forelimbs.
Posture: Cranially loading (placing more weight on the forelimbs) and more
onto the left hindlimb. Slight kyphosis in the lumbar region.
Palpation: Left hindlimb hypotonic and hypotrophic Right hindlimb has good
range of motion, mild stifle crepitus bilaterally. Spinal epaxials tender right
thoraco- lumbar region showing no trigger points. Caudal boarder latissimus
dorsi reactive, spasming and overworked due to cranial loading. Mild crepitus
left tarsus.
Aim: Improve overall balance, muscle strength and protect the opposing
limbs.
