Tess Potts 29/04/25
Consult and notes
Subjective: Tessa is a lovely girl who has a history of being reactive and is a rescue. She is a
good body weight and is able to locomote freely with good limb coordination and balance.
Owner reports on occasion Tess will stumble, trip or show signs of discomfort. For this she is
prescribed Onsior. Previous injury/conditions are elbow and hip dysplasia (bilateral)
Gait is straight and rhythmical in all gaits, able to navigate gradients albeit finding downhill
more challenging and showing a stilted gait here. When toileting the left hindlimb is
hovered and the squat position is not held in flexion as much as expected. Braced back and
epaxials. Tendancy to use the forelimbs for support and stability. Turning shows mild
instability and weakness in the hindlimbs.
Palpation: Range of motion not done due to wanting Tess to build a good relationship first.
Larger muscle mass over triceps and forelimbs with bracing patters. Spasming and tension in
the lower back and loss of muscle in the biceps femoris and quadriceps bilaterally in the
hindlimbs.
Aim: Improve joint flexibility and strength, prevent back pain and even up musculature
