Stormi – Physiotherapy
7/4/25
Stormi was seen for an initial consult for a check. She has some behaviour that is potentially
pain related and can be wary of people entering her space. She is a young horse and likely to
mature over time and hopefully we can work to resolve some of these issues. Was more
settled today and happy in her stable.
Poll tension was mild compared to previous visit The shoulders feel more muscular and
even in their mass. Better muscling of the back and a more open and fluid topline. The limbs
and body were in balance and the visible dip that was present and moving the saddle was
reduced. The saddle slips left slightly and was sat betterwith prolite pad with just back shims
in.
Left hindlimb had a small muscle tear on the semitendinosus muscle and tension here and in
the gracilis, the right hindlimb was not as strained. Eased out with some stretching but this
may need to be maintained (hindlimb protraction).
Aims:
-
Improve neck mobility
Improve forelimb reach and strength
Balance feet and improve flexibility
