Ellie– Physiotherapy 7-4-25
Ellie was seen following some behavioural changed when mounted. Owner reports Ellie can
jump hollow backed and can be reluctant to go forwards – new saddle was sourced and Ellie
is doing much better.
Well muscled overall and a good body weight. The shoulders and neck was consistent with
expected workload, visible tension iines seen in c2-3 of the neck more on the left side. Neck
mobility restricted C2-3 bilaterally. Forelimb mobility is very good. Mild trigger points in
lumbar region of the left side, the right side was largely improved since my last visit.
Restricted protraction and retraction of the hindlimbs. Protraction in the forelimbs was
mildly restricted. Check ligaments were inflamed, could be conformation or turnout changes
going into summer – advised to monitor for any changes.
Pelvic rounding and extension are good. Lateral spine was good and mobile.
