Cheeky Physio Notes and Exercises
21/4/25
Cheeky was seen for physio after being reported to be lame. Gait assessment showed uneven
pelvic motion with increased movement on the right hindlimb. The forelimbs showed a right
forelimb lameness 2/10 and twisting of the head in trot. Feet are in good shape and balanced.
Objective: Right shoulder muscle tension in serratus ventralis thoracic (Girth area), this is restricting
forelimb mobility and the limb moving forwards. Restricted right elbow flexion and avoidant of this
movement. Spasming around deltoid. Poll area tense and reactive around C2.
Neck is reduced mid region both ways.
Some lumbar tension, spasming and trigger points on both sides just behind saddle area.
Treatments: Massage globally, fascial release over lumbar area, trigger point released over lumbar
regions. Compression therapy over left and right lumbar. Forelimb stretching and range of motion
both forelimbs.
Aim:
Reduce back tension and stiffness
Increase suppleness in neck and back
Improve elbow
