Marvin – 28/3/25
Consult and notes
Subjective: Marvin is a lovely boy who was having issues with his elbows and reluctant to
jump out the car, he is still reluctant but on videos is jumping well and at a good height with
good turning ability. Owner reports his weaving has improved and he is doing well.
Gait is straight and rhythmical in all gaits, mild carpal external rotation on the left forelimb.
Good muscle mass overall and no issues jumping/turning or backing up when observed.
Functionally Marvin shows some instability in his hindlimbs when rising from a sternal lie
position and when asked to do more work on the wobble cushions. His pivoting was good
right and weaker left and when laterally bending to the left his hindlimb (right) would lose
position on the board.
Palpation: Bilateral elbow crepitus on flexion improved from last visit, Full range of motion
present. Thoracic spinal spasming and trigger points – Laser used to alleviate. Hindlimb
retraction was good with both hindlimbs, protraction limited due to hamstring tension.
Right hand side of the spine was reactive over the ribs more than the left.
Aim: Improve joint flexibility and strength, prevent back pain and even up musculature
