Katie

Katie – 26/02/25 Katie was seen last on 30th November 2023 due to back pain and following injections into her hocks. Katie has had behavioural changes and a recent diagnosis of cushings’ disease. She has recently moved yards and is showing explosive behaviour on the lunge and occasionally in the stable. Gait: In walk Katie moves narrow/close with the forelimbs with a lateral landing pattern. Her hindlimbs show a close narrow base stance and movement with slight weakness in her left tarsal/stifle region and external rotation of the tarsus and medial rotation of the stifle on the right hind-limb. Her walk covers ground but the trot is resented with a shortening bilaterally of the hindlimbs and tendency to display pain behavioural avoidance. Palpation: Neck shows increased muscle tension left side brachiocephalicus and splenius. Lumbar region shows more spasming and tension, right lumbar region showing milder spasming.
