Harley

Harley has recently had his follow-up session. Weight and feet remain good. No issues reported –
breathing is improved and ridden work is now commencing. Nebuliser is used but not as frequently.
No coughing etc was noted on this appointment.
Subjective: Saddle checked and slips right mildly. The front to back balance is good and no tipping
seen. Shoulder clearance and contact is good as with spinal clearance and contact on the panels.
Right panel not is as fuller contact mid to back part of the panel. No issues noted, hacking more and
enjoying variety. Noted path to arena is steep and slippy. Neck musculature has improved since last
visit.
Gait: Right pelvic hip drop (mild), Travels downhill slightly making it hard to create impulsion for the
rider. Close movement with the hindlimbs behind and could show more fluidity through the back
when moving. Turning is good and agile, good foot height and placement no scuffing or dragging
seen.
Palpation – Lumbar restrictions bilaterally. Limb range of motion is good in the forelimbs, a little
restricted at present in both hind-limb protraction. Lacking in some muscle mass over right stifle.
Left shoulder sticking slightly and pectorals on this side restricting movement.
