JD - Physiotherapy Notes
20/1/25
JD was seen for an initial consult to check for any issues. He is a fit and healthy dog who
enjoys long walks and exercise with his owners. He is a good weigth and condition with
excellent coat and body condition score. Owners do not notice much in terms of stiffness
following exercise of issues day to day. HE is brachiocepahlic and does have sensitivities to
treats and food.
Straight moving and agile, energetic movement and good ground clearance. JD has some
mild forelimb rotation especially his right forelimb. Hindlimbs move narrow in walk and
trot. Sitting posture is good when attentice with all four paws facing to the front. Only
when tired he will switch hindlimbs and disengage them. Cranially loading posture with
alot of weight on the front legs and shoulders. Kyphotic lumbar spine and hypotonic
musculature of the hindlimbs.
Forelimb range of motion was good with no crepitus felt. Hindlimb joints also have no
crepitus present. The tarsal joints display some hyper mobility and straight limb
conformation. The knees (more left hind) shows some patella movement on full
extension. This is intermittently present in both hindlimbs.
