Physiotherapist report – Poppy Nicholson
May 2021
Subjective: Poppy had a remote consult and videos taken recently by the
owners revealed that Poppy finds it hard to rise and can have “off
days”.
Gait: Her left hind-limb abducts when in lie and sitting is
uncomfortable and avoided. There is increased weight bearing on the
right hind-limb and a reduction in flexion of the right hind-limb. The
forelimbs are slightly reduced in protraction.
Poppy’s owners were able to conduct a guided assessment where Poppys
range of motion in her spine was good in dorsi-flexion and laterally to
each side. There was some sensitivity in the lumbar region and her right
hindlimb was hard to pick-up. Owners reported no crepitus was present in
her joints.
Action: Table below, monitor for any changes and revisit in 4 weeks
