Bally – Exercise Prescription
29/08/24
Bally was seen following veterinary referral following a bout of lameness due to EMS/Laminitis.
Bally is bright alert and willing. Her posture has improved and there are still minor issues present
that are now focussing more on conditioning oppose to directly from her EMS episode. Ending
medications and so need to keep watch for changes and continue if required.
There is still tension around the shoulders, no heat or spasming in trapezius this session. Right fore
shoulder and forelimb protraction is reduced compared to the left. No swelling or issues seen with
joints or ROM in forelimbs. Neck mildly still restrictive in lateral flexion but improved.
Spinal weakness and lack of topline and tone with reactive and spasming lumbar muscles and hip
flexors. Hindlimb stretch back and across aided this.
Saddle checked, very mildly tipped back, no movement otherwise, check girth at sternum.
In walk Bally has an improved walk with good rhythm, her right turns are improved, the left ones
are hugely improved and are now only stilted one or tow steps on the turn, improved following
session.
