Lilly- Physiotherapy Notes
1/8/24
Lilly was seen 1/8/24. Lily is carrying excess weight which is making her neck cresty and tense. She
has tension at the base of the neck on the left side and difficulty moving her neck to each side. Lily
also was showing unstable stifles which pop in and out when she is rocked to each side. Her back
legs needs to be engaging in a soft but precise manner (see pole exercises). Due to this she will
find propulsive work and canter difficult so remain in walk and trot.
When doing transitions, keep the head lower and relaxed, if tension creeps in, go back to walk or
halt to re-establish the correct neck tension.
Aim: supple neck and back with stifle support.
