Sprite– Exercise Prescription
17/7/24
Sprite was seen on the 17/7/24 for his initial appointment. His history
includes navicular to both front feet and suspensory damage to his
hindlimbs. His posture looked tense and hollow with the limbs out of
alignment and not square. His foot balance looks good and heels are
supported.
In walk on a flat surface the left hindlimb looked to be 2/10 lame and
there was a pelvic drop on the right. Stride length looked shortened
globally. On turns and uneven surfaces Sprite looked much more
uncomfortable and looked to be worse on his right forelimb and right
hindlimb. In trot the right hindlimb looked sore.
His neck range of motion laterall was restricted and was braced. This
carried through to his thoracic sling and forelimb mobility. There was
back tension bilaterally, worse on the left side. Right sidce had deep
trigger point which was k-taped.
Goals:
- Improve balance
- Improve thoracic movement
- Improve back mobility
- Improve tension in the body
