Bella- Physiotherapy Notes
8/07/24
Misty was bought recently. She is green and relatively new to
schooling/jumping etc. Her feet are newly barefoot and a little flat and
long currently – had shoes on before, a little over weight and recently
seen a dentist to correct mouth pain. Will rear on hacks when not in
company.
Gait assessment shows foot sore on stony ground, better in the arena.
Mild right hind hip drop and tail to the left. Straight moving. Turn
left better than turning right. Mid-neck restrictive both sides. Right
side lower back was reactive and spasming – left side also to lesser
degree. Some mild trigger points around shoulders. Saddle slips left
mildly, looks a little narrow, no obvious flocking buldges or areas of
bridging, daylight seen through panels. Canter transition was reluctant
and unbalanced, k-tape appled lumbars
Aim: Improve overall balance in transitions and flatwork – lunging to be
done in walk and trot
