Kiki Goodwin– Exercise Prescription
13/6/24
Kiki was seen for her intial consult on 13/6/24. She has reported ongoing issues with lameness in
the left forelimb and a lack of impulsion and tendancy to trip on stony ground.
On gait assessment Kiki showed a lateral circumduction of the right forelimb from her carpal joint
and lnaded back in the sagittal plane. Her left forelimb was sensitive to the uneven ground and
caused a head nod especially noticeable in trot. She had an elevated head carriage and
overdevelopment of the brachiocephalic muscle on the underside of the neck, this was also
reactive and adhesive on palpation and responded well to manual release.
There was a toe-drag left hindlimb and closeness of the hindlimbs in trot. The toe-drag was
intermittent and disappeared on the second trot-up. Tail carriage was slightly right and the right
side of the pelvis is held in a cranioventral position. Mild swelling palpated over point of hip on
the right side.
Posture is good overall, hips extended and lack of stability in forelimbs. Audible crepitus in
hindlimbs and wide on turns, slight lack of flexion right tarsus.
