Buddy was see following TPLO surgery. He is standing on all 4 limbs and able to
sit, lie and walk unaided. The left hindlimb is not 13.5 inches in diameter and
the right hindlimb is 14.5 inches in diameter.
There was muscle reactivity around the thoraco-lumbar junction and around
the caudal scapula area both sides into lat. Dorsi. Crepitus felt on full flexion
left stifle. Mild crepitus on elbow flexion today bilaterally and limited forelimb
protraction. Buddy has recently been away on holiday and may have over
exerted himself. – Monitoring.
Gait: Left straighter. Tarsal valgus and toe out left hind. Good rhythm of the
walk, minimal scuffing, minor rhythm changes on the turn.
Sitting: Straight sit posture, on rising still weight-shifts right and moves toes –
mild.
Exercises
1. Sit to stand – continue from previous
2. Stretch nose to under chest following exercise – hold 20 seconds repeat
5 times
3. Stretch paw exercise after exercise
4. Over the legs - continuation
